The CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper Wheeled A09 qualification is designed for individuals with limited or no experience who want to learn to operate a wheeled forward tipping dumper. On passing the technical tests, the CPCS trained operator card (red card) is applied for on the candidate’s behalf.
Course content
- Operate the machine to a minimum standard.
- Fit and operate ancillary equipment.
- Site the machine safely and efficiently.
- Know which minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures are necessary, and be able to carry them out.
- Prepare the machine for travelling on the public highway.
- Understand the capabilities, purposes and limitations of each machine.
- Apply all necessary safety precautions.
- Understand how diesel engines work and how various parts of the machine operate.
The entry requirements for the CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper Wheeled A09 course are as follows:
- Candidates must have passed the CITB Health, safety and environment test within the previous 23 months before the course start date.
- Candidates should have a good understanding of spoken and written English to effectively participate in the training.
Duration:
The CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper Wheeled A09 course has a duration of 4 days. This includes 3 days of learning through a mix of classroom-based teaching and practical exercises, followed by 1 day of assessment which involves CPCS technical tests.
